Happy Holidays!

Greetings from Percipia Networks! I hope all of Chicagoland and all of you are in the mood for the upcoming festive season! Today, our wonderful interns Frenz and Tanya joined us for our fantastic company Thanksgiving. As the new interns, they are going to help push Percipia Networks into the New Year and beyond!

Frenz mean mugs the camera as our fearless leader Dan sips on his wonderful and energy driven soda!
All of us are thankful for being here at Percipia Networks and the upcoming holidays are a great way to thank our family, friends and coworkers. Being new to the area of Chicago, I have come to grow with this group and it feels that our small family at Percipia Networks is growing even larger. This New Year will bring in more explorations from us in the tech industry. Fortunately for all of us, we will be able to see how our talented team takes on these new roles and responsibilities.  As a newcomer to Percipia Networks, this experience has been rewarding for me because it allows me to explore all new avenues in technology. So enjoy the holidays and as we begin to explore new territory in a new setting, we will continue to update the public with all of our new explorations.  We look forward to hearing from all of you after the new year!

Happy Fall!

Here in Chicago, the fall season usually passes quickly or just not at all. I sometimes like to tell my friends in different parts of the country that Chicago only has two seasons - winter and summer. The transition is usually something like this: cold, cold, really cold, REALLY cold, cold, not as cold, hot, hot, really hot, not as hot, cold, cold...repeat. Although this year some unusually mild temperatures have graced the Chicagoland area and us Chicagoans actually get to experience the season of fall. Fall brings about leaves in every shade of red, yellow and orange, pumpkins, lattes and heavy sweaters. It's a helpful preparation for the quickly approaching and indefinitely bitter cold winter season. In honor of one of the post popular and undoubtably most beautiful seasons, let's take a look see at some of the most picturesque fall locations.
Oak Mountain State Park- Pelham, Alabama

Franschhoek, South Africa

Lake of Bays- Muskoka, Ontario

Maroon Bells Recreation Area- Aspen, Colorado

Chicago isn't lucky enough to have majestic mountains and colorful forests in the vicinity, but we can certainly appreciate these images that really display the truly vibrant side of mother nature.

TribalNet13

This week Percipia is in sunny San Diego at the TribalNet13 Convention and Tradeshow. The convention is being held at Town and Country Resort and we are super excited to be there. As you may know, trade shows are an opportunity to meet and greet a number of new & interesting people. It is also a learning opportunity for us here at Percipia. It allows us to learn more about other businesses all while still promoting ours!  CEO Michael Velasquez, VP Daniel VanRyn, Director of Business Development Katherine Lang and our Global Director of Sales Kevin Yarnell all took the trek out to Southern California to help promote Percipia and the services we have to offer.  Check out our awesome booth display!  We're also excited to be sponsors at this event- more pics will be posted at they come!

Tablet Wars

Google is joining the major players in the tablet game as it unveiled not one but three new high tech advancements. On Monday Google revealed a brand new Nexus phone, it’s new tablet and a new Android powered operating system to go with both the phone and the tablet.  Here’s how they add up-
The Phone- These days it’s hard to keep track of all the different types of smart phones coming out. Deciding which one to buy can get confusing and sometimes frustrating, but Google is trying to rid that frustration by convincing consumers that the new Nexus 4 is the phone to have. Because Nexus phones have never sold particularly well, Google is luring in customers with a super affordable “unlocked” smartphone plan that is over $300 cheaper than an unlocked Apple iPhone plan.  A downside to the phone is that it has less than half of the typical storage for a smartphone, only boasting 8 GB.
The new Nexus 4- check out that HUGE screen
The Tablet- The new Nexus 10 has some competition for being the tablet to have this holiday season. It's competitors include the Apple iPad, (& iPad mini), Kindle Fire & Microsoft Surface. Although all of these tablet boast impressive features, The Nexus 10 on the other hand has some that even the latest Apple iPad or Microsoft Surface don't have.  Things like the highest resolution screen, multiple use account options and stereo speakers come equipped with the tablet. With both the Nexus 4 and Nexus 10 being cheaper than all of the competing Apple and Microsoft phones & tablets and having some improved features, this might be the gift to give (or receive).
